A major milestone for Equestrian Wool Arena has been reached. Our first full-scale test arena has now been installed at Järfälla Riding Club!

BEST POSSIBLE RECIPE

Behind this riding surface are many months of testing and development to create a formula we truly believe in. After carrying out a series of small-scale trials, we are now producing our wool fibre on a larger scale at a manufacturing facility in Europe. For the installation of the riding surface, we are partnering with Trädgårdsteknik to ensure the best possible result.

Before installing the new riding surface, the arena was carefully inspected to ensure that both the surface and the underlying construction were in good condition and that any necessary maintenance had been completed. Thereafter the old top layer was removed, which previously consisted of wood chips.

To achieve the optimal mix, the wool fibres and sand were blended on site. The fibres were spread evenly across the arena before being incorporated into the 12 cm top layer using a harrow. Once the installation was complete, the only remaining step was to water the arena before horses and riders could begin using the new surface.

Since the installation, the arena has been used for both riding lessons and competition warm-ups, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. One of the instructors noted that the ponies are moving more willingly on the new surface, while one rider described it simply as "a dream surface."

The results so far have exceeded our expectations, but there is still plenty of testing ahead before the development process is complete. We look forward to sharing more updates as the project progresses!
